DB Use highlights and analysis

UCSC Database Usage:

Note that this data includes web-based research only.  I pulled data from the Scholarly Statistics service, the JSTOR usage site, and the CSA usage site.  These statistics all conform to the COUNTER standard but not every licensed resource is included in these tools, and they don't make up every licensed title in the collection.

Most commonly used databases:

1. Web of Science

2. Expanded Academic ASAP (now replaced by Academic Search Complete)

3. JSTOR (Note, this site is treated by stats programs as a journal aggregator and not as a database.  They don't track queries as the other database sites do, but I suspect from the extremely high usage that most users treat it a database and not just an aggregator.)

4. PsycInfo

5. Biosis

6. Sociological Abstracts

7. Gale Virtual Reference

Most active months for library research:

1. May

2. March

3. November

4. October

5. February

6. April

7. January
