Is by far the largest database of Chinese ancient books, the most stringent documentation of the Chinese text of the database. Total Volume 134 million words. Full-text database for hundreds of works in classics; history, including the history of Taiwan; law; literature; medicine; and religion.     Si ku quan shu was compiled between 1773 and 1782 under the edict of Emperor Qianlong 乾隆. It is the most comprehensive collection of Chinese scholarship up to the 18th century. Full text articles and works are available both in their original image and digitized text format.

Compiled in the Kangxi years of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and covering a wide range of subjects, including many rare classic titles that are otherwise unavailable.  It is the most comprehensive encyclopaedia in China to date, which contains 6 collections (彙編), 32 standards (), 6,117 titles, in a total of 10,000 volumes.

It contains 595 books divided into 309 categories and accounts for 48 million Chinese characters.
