Role of Library

Rayna encouraged that we all are “stewards of the library”. This helps keep us focused so we remember that the strategic plan and our directions are all about the customers (patrons, students, staff, faculty) and our stakeholders and our plan should always be governed by what is best for those we serve.

Steward –

-     A person who manages another’s property /affairs

-     One who administers anything as the agent of another/others

Stewards of UCSC Library –

-     Not representational

-     Not about “us” – about customers and stakeholders

-     What is in our control ?
