Below are some services will be available in other InfoCommons around the country.  If these services are adopted, who administers and supports them?

o    Online room booking and maps with real-time availability of workstations and group study rooms.  (NCSU Learning Commons)

          Online room booking system nearing the end of testing and will be live this summer (http://opensource.library.ucsc.edu/webstaff/)

o    Blogs to answer questions, provide feedback on services, and encourage participation in shaping services

o    Instant Messaging reference and research assistance (along with phone and email)

o    IT help via Instant Messaging

o    Laptop loans.  The libraries currently loan out 18 laptops for in-library use.  This program could be expanded.

o    Media Equipment loans including digital cameras, digital video cameras, GPS devices...

o    Specialized lab equipment and space such as video editing, graphic design, and music composition.

o    Online reservations and booking for rooms and equipment.

o    Video and computer gaming.

o    Others?
